Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
At Brazilian Products, we respect your privacy and value the trust you place in us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you visit www.brazilianproducts.com, shop with us, create an account, contact us, or subscribe to our communications.
Our store currently accepts orders for delivery to Guyana only. This policy also applies to visitors and subscribers who do not make a purchase.
1. Who We Are
BrazilianProducts.com is owned and operated by Patrick Carpen, the person responsible for deciding how personal information is used in connection with the website.
Owner and data controller:
Patrick Carpen
CPF: 703.614.572-27
Business address: 459 Avenida Mato Grosso, Belvedere, Campo Verde, Mato Grosso, Brazil, CEP: 78841-028
Privacy email: privacy@brazilianproducts.com
Website: https://www.brazilianproducts.com
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including Brazil’s General Data Protection Law, known as the LGPD, where it applies.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use our website and services.
Shopping and orders. When you place an order, we collect information such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address, products purchased, and delivery instructions. We also keep records of payments, deliveries, returns, refunds, and related correspondence.
Customer accounts. If you create an account, we store your account credentials, contact details, saved addresses, and order history. Saved information can help make future purchases more convenient. You can update the information available through your account dashboard or contact us for assistance.
Enquiries and support. When you contact us by email or through a website form, we collect the details you provide so we can respond and handle your request. Contacting us does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.
Subscriptions. If you subscribe to our emails, we collect your email address, any other information you choose to provide, your communication preferences, and records of your subscription, confirmation, consent, and unsubscribe requests.
Website activity. Our website and hosting services may record your IP address, browser and device information, pages accessed, referring website, access times, and technical or security events. Shopping functions also process cart contents and session information. Where enabled, recently viewed product features use browsing information to help you return to products you have viewed.
Information from service providers. We receive information needed to administer our services, including payment confirmations, fraud or dispute notifications, delivery updates, and email delivery, bounce, and unsubscribe records.
We identify information required to complete a transaction when you provide it. Without necessary payment, contact, or delivery information, we may be unable to fulfil an order.
If you provide another person’s details for delivery, please ensure that you have authority to do so and that the recipient knows their information will be used to deliver the order.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Process payments, fulfil orders, arrange delivery, and handle returns and refunds.
- Create and administer customer accounts.
- Send order confirmations, delivery updates, and other service communications.
- Answer questions and resolve complaints.
- Calculate applicable taxes and meet accounting, customs, and other legal requirements.
- Protect customer accounts, prevent fraud, maintain website security, and resolve disputes.
- Manage comments, product reviews, and other submissions.
- Send newsletters, promotions, and eligible cart reminders when you choose to receive them.
- Understand website and email performance through the measurement activities described in this policy.
Where applicable, we rely on the following legal grounds:
- Contractual necessity: To take steps you request before a purchase and perform our obligations to you.
- Legal obligations: To maintain required records and comply with lawful requirements.
- Consent: For optional activities where consent is required, including our marketing subscriptions.
- Legitimate interests: For appropriate operational purposes, such as security, fraud prevention, and service administration, after considering necessity, your reasonable expectations, and your rights.
- The exercise or defence of legal rights: Where information is necessary to manage claims or disputes.
Purchasing from us is not conditional on subscribing to marketing. Visiting the website does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional tracking.
4. Payments Through Stripe and PayPal
We accept payments through Stripe and PayPal. Information needed to process or support a payment is shared with the selected provider. This may include your name, contact and billing details, purchase amount, transaction information, and technical information used for security and fraud prevention.
Payment credentials are handled through the payment provider’s payment facilities. We do not store your complete card number or card security code in our WooCommerce or FluentCRM customer records.
We receive payment confirmations, transaction references, payment status, and limited payment-method information. If you choose to save a payment method through a supported feature, our store may retain a provider-issued reference or token and limited identifying details, rather than the complete card credentials.
Payment providers also process information for their own legal, security, and operational purposes. Their privacy notices provide further details:
Please do not send complete card details or card security codes by email, contact form, or product review.
5. Newsletters, Promotions, and Cart Reminders
We use FluentCRM Pro to manage subscriptions, communication preferences, and customer communications. Our email delivery services include Postmark.
You can subscribe without making a purchase. Website subscription forms use a confirmation email to verify your subscription. At checkout, you may also choose to subscribe through an optional, unticked checkbox.
We send newsletters and promotions only to people who have opted in. We keep records of subscription choices so we can respect them.
Abandoned-cart reminders: We send emails encouraging you to complete a purchase only if you have agreed to receive cart reminders or expressly requested a reminder. Entering an email address at checkout alone does not subscribe you to these messages.
Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe option. You may also contact privacy@brazilianproducts.com to stop marketing communications.
Unsubscribing does not affect your ability to shop. We may still send messages needed to administer an order, process a refund, respond to you, or protect your account.
6. Email Performance and Tracking
Our email systems record delivery events, including successful delivery, bounces, spam complaints, and unsubscribes. These records help us maintain reliable delivery and respect your preferences.
Where enabled and permitted by applicable law, marketing emails also use tracking images and tracked links to measure opens and clicks. These tools can record the message involved, the time of an interaction, the link clicked, and associated technical information such as an IP address or browser details. Engagement information may be associated with your subscriber record.
We use these measurements to assess campaign performance and improve the relevance of our communications. An email-open record is an estimate; email applications and privacy features can affect its accuracy.
Where consent is required for engagement tracking, we obtain it before using that tracking. You can contact privacy@brazilianproducts.com to ask about tracking, exercise applicable privacy rights, or withdraw consent. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.
Blocking remote images in your email application can limit image-based open tracking, but does not necessarily prevent click tracking when you follow a tracked link.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies to support shopping carts, login, account security, checkout, and website preferences.
The standard WordPress and WooCommerce features used on our website may set the following cookies, depending on the functions you use:
| Function | Purpose and usual duration |
|---|---|
| Shopping cart | Records changes to cart contents, generally for the browser session. |
| Shopping session | Associates your browser with stored cart information, usually for two days. |
| Login test | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies; normally removed when the browser closes. |
| Account login | Maintains your login, normally for two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me.” Logging out removes the login cookies. |
| Display preferences | Remembers relevant interface preferences, normally for one year. |
| Comment details | If you choose to save them, remembers your name, email address, and website for later comments, normally for one year. |
Authorized users who edit or publish website content may also receive a cookie identifying the edited post, normally lasting one day.
These are standard durations; settings, updates, browser behaviour, and additional enabled features can affect them. Payment providers may also use cookies or similar technologies for payment functionality and fraud prevention.
You can use your browser settings to view, delete, or block cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent some account, cart, or checkout functions from working correctly.
Optional analytics or advertising technologies are subject to the notices and choices described below.
8. Analytics and Advertising Technologies
If we enable Google Analytics, we use it to understand website traffic, product interest, and how visitors use our store. Depending on its configuration, it may process device and browser information, approximate location, page views, interactions, and cookie identifiers.
We obtain consent before activating optional analytics where required by applicable law. When consent is used, the relevant collection notice explains how to accept, refuse, or withdraw that choice. Refusing optional analytics does not prevent you from purchasing.
Further information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Advertising cookies and pixels can help measure advertisements or recognize visitors for advertising purposes. If we introduce Meta Pixel or similar advertising tools, we will provide information about the tools, their purposes, recipients, and applicable choices before using them.
This policy does not treat your visit or purchase as permission for advertising tracking.
9. Comments, Reviews, Profile Images, and Uploads
When you submit a comment or product review, we collect the information entered in the form. We may also record your IP address and browser information to help identify spam and abuse.
Approved comments or reviews, your chosen display name, and any associated public profile image may be visible to other visitors. Please avoid including private contact, payment, or other confidential information in public submissions.
Where Gravatar is enabled, a hash derived from your email address may be sent to the service to check for an associated profile image. That image may appear alongside your approved contribution. A hash is a derived identifier and should not be understood as a guarantee that information is anonymous. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy for information about Gravatar.
Where an external spam-detection service is used, relevant submission information may be sent to that service for assessment.
If an enabled feature allows you to upload images for public display, the images may contain embedded information, including location metadata. Please remove private metadata before uploading. Other visitors may be able to download publicly displayed images and inspect that information.
10. Embedded Content and External Websites
Our pages may include content provided by other websites, such as videos, images, or social media posts. When that content loads, the provider may receive your IP address and browser information, use cookies, and record interactions with the content.
If you are logged in to that provider’s service, it may associate your interaction with your account. Where consent is required before loading optional third-party content or tracking, we obtain it.
Links to other websites take you to services governed by their own privacy notices. We encourage you to review those notices before providing information.
11. Access to Information and Service Providers
The owner and authorized personnel may access customer information where needed to operate the store. Depending on their permissions, administrators and shop managers can access orders, customer contact details, and billing and shipping information to fulfil orders, process refunds, and provide support.
We share relevant information with providers and other recipients where needed for the purposes described in this policy, including:
- Stripe and PayPal, for payments, refunds, disputes, and fraud prevention.
- Kualo, our current hosting provider, for website and hosting-related services.
- Postmark, for email delivery and related delivery records.
- Shipping, fulfilment, and customs partners, for order preparation, delivery, tracking, and customs requirements.
- Technical and security providers, for maintenance, backups, troubleshooting, and website protection.
- Analytics, embedded-content, profile-image, or spam-detection providers, where the relevant services are enabled and their use is permitted.
- Professional advisers and public authorities, where necessary for legal obligations, accounting, disputes, or the protection of lawful rights.
Our store uses WordPress, WooCommerce, and FluentCRM Pro. These tools manage information within our website environment; using the software does not, by itself, mean every customer record is sent to the software developer.
When you request a password reset, the reset email may include the IP address associated with the request.
We limit disclosure to information appropriate for the purpose. Service providers acting on our behalf are subject to appropriate instructions and confidentiality or data protection obligations. Some recipients, such as payment providers and public authorities, also have independent legal responsibilities.
We do not sell or rent your personal information or provide customer lists to other businesses for their own marketing.
Providers may change as our services develop. We update this policy when changes materially affect how personal information is handled.
12. Caching and Website Performance
We use LiteSpeed Cache to improve website speed. Caching temporarily stores copies of website content and related information so that pages can load more efficiently. Cached information is refreshed, expires, or is removed according to the configured settings.
Where QUIC.cloud services are enabled, website content, images, and associated technical information may be processed through those services for the performance functions selected. Details are available in the QUIC.cloud Privacy Policy.
Hosting and authorized technical-support providers may access relevant technical information where necessary to maintain or troubleshoot these services.
13. International Processing
Although our current delivery market is Guyana, our operation is based in Brazil and some service providers operate internationally. Information may therefore be processed in Brazil, Guyana, and other countries where our providers and their authorized subcontractors operate.
International processing can occur when we host the website, process payments, send emails, maintain backups, provide technical support, or arrange delivery.
Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or specific safeguards, we use the mechanism and protections appropriate to the transfer. These may include recognized adequacy decisions, approved contractual clauses, or another legally permitted basis, as applicable.
You may contact privacy@brazilianproducts.com for information about the recipients, processing locations, and transfer safeguards relevant to your information, including copies or descriptions of applicable safeguards where available under law.
14. How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information for the period needed to fulfil its purpose, meet applicable legal obligations, and address relevant claims or disputes.
Retention depends on the type of information:
- Orders and financial records: Retained for applicable accounting, taxation, customs, and legal periods, and as necessary to handle refunds, disputes, or claims.
- Customer accounts: Retained while the account is maintained. Closing an account does not necessarily remove transaction records that must be kept separately.
- Support enquiries: Retained while needed to resolve the matter and for an appropriate follow-up or dispute period.
- Marketing subscriptions: Retained while you remain subscribed. After withdrawal, limited suppression and consent records may be kept to prevent unwanted messages and demonstrate how your preferences were handled.
- Comments and reviews: Retained while published and relevant, together with moderation information needed to manage contributions and prevent abuse, subject to applicable deletion rights.
- Technical, security, analytics, and email-engagement records: Retained for periods proportionate to their operational purposes and the settings of the services involved.
- Cookies: Retained according to their expiry settings or until removed, as described in Section 7.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it. Information remaining in protected backups is removed through the normal backup replacement cycle and is not used for new marketing purposes.
You may contact us for further information about retention of a particular record.
15. Security and Incident Response
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These include access restrictions, secure transmission where appropriate, and maintenance of the website and its supporting systems.
Please keep your account password confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
No online service can guarantee complete security. If we become aware of a personal information security incident, we investigate, take appropriate steps to contain it and reduce harm, and assess notification obligations. We notify affected individuals and relevant authorities where required by applicable law.
16. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the law applicable to your information, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your information and request access or a copy.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion, anonymization, blocking, or restriction where applicable.
- Request portability where provided by law.
- Obtain information about the organizations with which information is shared.
- Withdraw consent and obtain information about the consequences of refusing consent.
- Object to processing in circumstances provided by law.
- Request review of decisions made solely through automated processing that affect your interests.
- Submit a complaint to the relevant data protection authority.
Our systems and payment providers may use automated tools to identify fraud, filter spam, or assess transactions. If you believe an automated assessment has adversely affected you, contact us so we can investigate within our role and assist with the appropriate provider where necessary.
To exercise your rights, email privacy@brazilianproducts.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity or authority to act for another person.
We respond within applicable legal time limits and do not charge for exercising rights where the law requires requests to be handled free of charge. If a request cannot be fully fulfilled, we explain the reason, including any legal obligation to retain information.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
Where the LGPD applies, you may also raise concerns with Brazil’s data protection authority, ANPD. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable law.
17. Children’s Privacy
Our shopping accounts and marketing subscriptions are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information for marketing.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us at privacy@brazilianproducts.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, providers, processing activities, or legal obligations, including expansion into new delivery markets.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Where required, we provide additional notice or obtain fresh consent before introducing a new use of information.
Continued use of the website does not replace consent where consent is legally required.
